Making time for the family

We must not only practice the Catholic tradition but also realise why we do what we do spiritually, that in knowing God through biblical scriptures, we are shown to His greatness, that He is absolute perfection, and that He is the ONLY source of Grace.

Let us allow our families, especially our children, to experience that Grace,  the love and mercy of the Lord overflowing in their lives. Despite the challenges, failures, or even small everyday mistakes like not finishing their lunch, breaking a glass, or missing an assessment out of boredom 🤭, we, as parents, must remain patient, prayerful, and supportive, especially when they experience “big emotions”. And at the same time, we are to correct them with gentleness.

Like the saints and our own parents, they too are humans, and despite our shortcomings as their children, they remain faithful and take care of the family and community.

So this our ROLE as the domestic church ——- to let our children know that our Father in Heaven is much more than us, that He listens, He cares, He discipline with justice, He is forgiving and loves mankind unconditionally, the one who knows the number of our hair, who moulded us wonderfully in His image, who gave His only Son for our salvation. The true meaning of LOVE: God Himself.
