Exercising your resilience and joy with the Holy One

The Scriptures are Holy words. They are given to us so we can lean on them, learn from them, and be guided by them. Through His grace, we can help our children grow in wisdom. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit—God Himself is at work in their hearts—our children can learn to hear and follow His voice in a way suited to their awareness and understanding.

As a community, we are called to live as the early Christians did. They had no social media, yet they passed on the faith powerfully through storytelling—sharing at their tables the truth of the Risen Christ. They told of His love, His sacrifice, His closeness to children, and His perfect obedience to the Father out of love and reverence. They reminded one another that prayers offered sincerely from the heart rise to heaven and are heard by God. They spoke of heavenly realities and nurtured the hope of eternal life.

Sharing this beautiful scripture from Matthew when they feel down:

“Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light"

-Matthew 11: 28-30
